Alisa Andrews, a practicing herbalist and owner of Flaming Maple Herbs, has been deeply inspired by the green world since childhood. She is an herbalist and aromatherapist of many years' experience and extensive study. She has studied at an advanced level with a number of well-known herbal elders including (among others) Rosemary Gladstar, grandmother of the modern herbal renaissance. Alisa has taught herb classes throughout New England for the past fifteen years, and worked professionally as a consulting herbalist, aromatherapist and formulator.
When not working with plants, sharing her love of them with others, or meeting with clients, Alisa can usually be found in her garden or the forest, or practicing yoga. Professional memberships include: the American Herbalist Guild (supporting member), United Plant Savers (UpS), the Northeast Herbal Association (NEHA), Vermont Healers' Network and the Indie Beauty Network - a trade organization dedicated to supporting independant businesses that specialize in natural products.
The Flaming Maple Herb Company is a New England herbal products company located in the rolling hills of Southern Vermont. Our goal is to produce the highest quality herbal products using the best, most natural ingredients possible. Most of the ingredients we use are organic or ethcially wild-harvested, and some are sourced locally. We consider sustainability as a predominant factor in our decision-making, and hope that between the ingredients and packaging we choose to use, and the sum of other actions we take in business, we will meet our goal of providing you with excellent herbal products while promoting healthy and sustainable relationships between people and the planet.
